The Governor's Five-Star Award for Customer Excellence (F.A.C.E.) is an annual awards program that was established to recognize outstanding Civil Servants who provide customer service excellence.

FACE

I am delighted that the 2010 Awards campaign will continue to build on this successful concept and will reward outstanding teams as well as individuals who have gone the extra mile in delivering customer excellence.

As a former Head of Consular Services for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, I am only too aware of the high expectations that the public expects of civil servants. It takes well trained, dedicated and motivated individuals to rise to the challenge. Since arriving in the Cayman Islands in January of this year, I have seen many civil servants who do just this.

The Civil Service's main objective is to serve the public and add value to the local community. But this doesn't mean that members of the public are our only customers. Internal customers can be just as important in delivering against objectives and moving the Cayman Islands forward. The Cayman Islands Government is committed to delivering world class services to the public and other stakeholders.
